[Remondini or Giovanni Menegazzi (Remondini successor)]: Floral design. Full sheet of decorated paper with full margins. Block-printed in black and yellow on a purple ground. Bassano / Italy, ca. 1840/60. 45,8 x 36,5 cm.
Printed on thin fragile machine made wove paper. A similar paper in a colour variant is included in a sample book (in my possession), which is clearly attributable to the Menegazzi workshop (see additional picture). – Provenance: Italy, through the trade. – Unused. Some condition issues to margins, in particular several short tears, as well as some creasing to lower margin, with some loss of material (not affecting the design). Large tear (7,5cm) to middle fold. Else fine. – Cf. Kunstbibliothek Berlin Ident.
