Der Unken=Teich. Bremer Expressionismus. Vom Bremer Künstlerbund in 250 Exemplaren herausgegebener Almanach(t): Worphuder Schützenfest. Er beinhaltet ein: "Buntes Bremer Allerlei zum mal sich erinnert fühlen an den 23. Februar 1924!". Die Illustration auf dem Deckel und zwei ganzseitige Illustrationen sind monogrammiert »WM«, möglicherweise von Willy Menz (in Guatemala geborener Bremer Maler, der der Künstlerkolonie Worpswede nahestand), der 1922 bereits einen Holzschnitt zum »Künstlerfest Worphude« entworfen hatte. Zwei weitere Illustustrationen mit den Initialen »Th H« stammen vielleicht von dem Stader Grafiker und Maler Theodor Herrmann (1881-1926). - »Das Innere ist teils von diesem - teils von jenem. Man macht heut mehr in annopseudonym …« (Druckvermerk). Die meisten Textbeiträge sind von Ewald Nacke, weitere Gedichte und Prosatexte sind unterzeichnet: Max der junge Nickel, Felix Brasil, Hans Breitensträter (bekannter Schwergewichtsboxer der Zeit), Hedwig Kurd Malheur (Romanfortsetzung), Katasteramt Vegesack, Gertrud Prellbock. Bremen, G. Hunckel, 1924. 23 x 18,5. 32 Seiten, mit 11 (1 ganzseitige) Illustrationen monogrammiert von WM und Th H. Farbig illustrierte Original-Broschur (Rücken etwas berieben). Gut erhaltenes Exemplar. Selten. Nur ein Exemplar für mich nachweisbar bei Hauswedell & Nolte Hamburg, Auktion 433 Los 442 vom 22.11.2011. -
DER UNKENTEICH. Bremen Expressionism. Almanac published in 250 copies by the Bremer Künstlerbund: Worphuder Schützenfest. It contains a: "Buntes Bremer Allerlei to feel memory of February 23, 1924!". The illustration on the cover and two full-page illustrations are monogrammed »WM«, possibly by Willy Menz (a painter from Bremen who was born in Guatemala and was close to the Worpswede artists' colony), who had already designed a woodcut for the »Artist Festival Worphude« in 1922. Two other illustrations with the initials "Th H" may have been created by the Stade graphic artist and painter Theodor Herrmann (1881-1926). - »The interior is part of this - part of that. People do more in annopseudonymous form these days...« (printer's note). Most of the text contributions are by Ewald Nacke, other poems and prose texts are signed: Max the young Nickel, Felix Brasil, Hans Breitensträter (well-known heavyweight boxer of the time), Hedwig Kurd Malheur (novel continuation), land register office Vegesack, Gertrud Prellbock.
